Schooling is permitted at Pine Top, subject to rain and event schedules. Schooling is not permitted within 2 days after heavy rain, or in the two weeks prior to horse trials.

Schooling should be a learning and growing experience. Schooling to fix a quitting problem is not permitted. One horse that quits can do more damage to the ground than all the horses competing in an entire level during an event. No skid marks allowed! Do not run at the fences! Jump collectedly and MOVE ON to the next fence! Do not jump a fence more than once or twice. Check the detailed schooling rules. These are also posted on a small sign at the main red gate leading to the XC warmup area. Pay attention!
