Pine Top Farm
In Memoriam

On April 3, 2002, Mr. James E. Wilson, Jr., owner of Pine Top Farm and patriarch of the Wilson family, was tragically killed in an accident near the farm. Many competitors will remember Mr. Wilson and his wife, Ruth, cruising the show grounds in their golf cart offering a smiling welcome to everyone. The entire Wilson family would like to express their appreciation for your prayers, encouragement and support during their time of grief. Glenn asked that the prayer read for Mr. Wilson on Saturday morning at the beginning of the horse trials be published on the web site.

MEMORIAL PRAYER FOR MASTER JAMES
July 13, 1922 - April 3, 2002

Our most gracious heavenly Father, we come to you this day as we mourn the loss of James Wilson, Master of Pine Top Farm.

Please bless the riders and horses who gallop across these green fields that Master James loved so dearly. May they feel his joy that they would come here to enjoy his land. Please make us good stewards of this land as he was.

We are reminded every Easter of the miracle of our faith, and we know that a few days ago Master James ascended from this land into your waiting arms. We rejoice that he is now whole, free of infirmity, and reunited with loved ones.

Heavenly Father, we are comforted knowing that when our time comes to join you, that we will ride across the green fields of the heavenly realm, as Master James did for so many years at Pine Top and as we will do today.

Thank you for creating this piece of heaven on earth for us to enjoy, and thank you for sending Master James to be its steward. Please wrap him in your loving arms and tell him he is still our beloved overseer here at Pine Top.
Amen

Scatter Wide My Ashes
by Michael Fifer

Scatter wide my ashes o'er fields where foxes run.
Saddle up my horse with whom I've had the best of fun,
Put my boots into the stirrups, with the spurs both pointing fore,
As I'm out to take a fence or two I've never jumped before.
I'll open up new country. No, I'll not be coming back.
Can you hear the heavenly music? It's the tonguing of the pack.
